BACKGROUND OF THE LITIGATION
This is a suit under the Veterans’ Reemployment Rights Act of 1974 (“VRRA”) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (“USER-RA”)(Count I)' — the two federal statutes that protect the reemployment rights of veterans — and Illinois’ Public Employee Armed Services Rights Act (Count II).
