CLIFFORD, Justice.
[¶ 1] Bryan Gordon appeals from a judgment entered in the Superior Court (Ken-nebec County, Atwood, J.) affirming his conviction for operating under the influence (Class D), 29-A M.R.S.A. § 2411(1) (1996 & Supp.2000) in the District Court (Augusta, Vafiades, J.). Gordon challenges the trial court’s denial of his motion to dismiss CAnderson, J.) and the denial of his earlier motion for an extension of time to file a jury trial demand (Vafiades, J.).
