In this post-conviction proceeding, petitioner alleges that his constitutional rights to due process and equal protection were denied because he was improperly convicted and sentenced on multiple charges arising out of what he maintains was the same criminal episode. In addition, he argues that the convictions and sentences imposed were not authorized by law. As a second claim he contends that he was denied the effective assistance of counsel at his trial in 1978. The trial court found against petitioner, and he appeals.
