LUMBARD, Circuit Judge:

Jose Pagan Campino appeals from an order of the District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Sifton, Judge, entered August 7, 1991, denying his petition to set aside his judgment of conviction pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2255. Campino and his co-defendant Oscar Ruiz were convicted on April 1, 1988, of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a) and 846. Campino was also convicted of being an illegal alien in possession of a handgun, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(5). We affirmed Campino’s conviction…
