OPINION

ANDERSON, Justice.

This appeal arises out of a high-speed po-hce chase of a traffic violator which ended in tragedy when the violator’s car crossed the center line out of control and collided with a third vehicle, killing ah three teen-age occupants.

We granted this appeal to reconsider this Court’s holding that law enforcement personnel are not hable for injuries resulting from an accident between a vehicle being pursued by the pohce and an innocent third party because, as a matter of law, pohce “conduct” in initiating or continuing the high-speed chase is not a proximate cause of the…
