On April 13, 1920, Thacher B. C. Crowell, Calvin D. Christ, and Calvin C. Walkling filed their petition in Wayne superior court, to have their title to 72 tracts of land, containing one thousand acres each, more or less, and eight lots containing 490 acres each, more or less, as therein described, situated, lying, and being in Wayne County, Georgia, and known as “the Williams survey lands,” registered under the “land-registration act.” The defendants named in the proceeding, together with all parties in possession over 14 years of age, were served by the sheriff or his deputy, and the lands…
