ROGERS, Circuit Judge.

These suits were instituted under the Trading with the Enemy Act and acts amendatory thereof. The Trading with the Enemy Act is the Act of October 6, 1917, 40 Stat. 411, c. 106. It was amended by the Act of July 11,1919, 41 Stat. 35, c. 6, and by that of June 5, 1920, 41 Stat. 977, c. 241 (Comp. St. Ann. Supp. 1923, § 3115%e). The suits were brought to obtain possession of securities, and the income therefrom, in the hands of the defendants, and which wore originally in the hands of the plaintiff as trustee for a German Insurance Company organized under German law, hut…
