On. the 9th day of February, 1844, Presque Coti, then of Detroit, since deceased, made and executed to the complainant an instrument in writing, under his hand and seal, by which he acknowledged himself to be indebted to the complainant, for services rendered by him for said Coti, up to and ending on the first day of January, 1844, in the sum of four hundred dollars, which he covenanted and agreed should, at his decease, be paid to said Cicotte, his heirs or assigns, &c., out of such estate and effects as he might die seized and possessed ofi unless he should see fit…
