William Fritz appealed his jury convictions of four counts of theft by deception and four violations of the Kansas Loan Broker s Act, K.S.A. 50-1001 et seq. The Court of Appeals affirmed the violations of the Loan Broker’s Act. It reversed the judgment on the convictions of theft by deception and remanded for resentencing. The State’s petition for review was granted by this court on July 11, 1996.
