In this case we are asked to consider the appropriate remedy for a “freeze-out” of a minority shareholder by the majority shareholders in a close corporation. The plaintiff, Mary M. Brodie, is a shareholder in Malden Centerless Grinding Co., Inc. (Maiden). The defendants, Robert J. Jordan and David J. *867Barbuto (collectively, defendants), are the corporation’s two other shareholders.
