This case arises out of an appeal by the defendant, Charles Felix, who was found guilty by a jury of murder in the first degree.1 On appeal, Felix contends that he is entitled to a new trial because (1) the trial court abused its discretion in conducting the voir dire, (2) the trial court erred in its rulings on the admission of evidence, (3) the trial court erred in denying the prosecution’s motion for a psychiatric examination of the defendant, and (4) there was insufficient evidence to support the verdict.
