This appeal involves the right to inspect and copy the contents of an assistant district attorney general’s files in a case involving a prisoner on death row. An assistant district attorney general for the Thirtieth Judicial District denied the request of an attorney employed by the Office of the Federal Public Defender to inspect and copy the records he created while preparing for a concluded state proceeding being challenged in federal court.
