This was an action for damages in the circuit court of Davidson county, based on.the alleged negligence ot the city in allowing an obstruction to remain in the street at the intersection of Crawford street and Fourth avenue. The obstruction was a cedar post six or eight inches in diameter, extending about six inches above the surface of the street. Plaintiff stumbled over this obstruction and sustained injuries, and her suit was to recover damages therefor.
