This was a suit, brought by the appellees, Alexander Woodside aBd Isabella Woodside, his wife, against the appellant, Canton Insurance Office, Limited, a corporation organized under the laws of Great Britain, to recover upon a policy of marine insurance. The policy, which was issued by the defendant company at its office in the city of San Francisco, Cal., was dated March 12, 1895, and by it the defendant insured Alexander Woodside in his own name, and for himself and all others interested, in the sum of $2,000, for the term of one year, upon property described in the…
