In this lawyer discipline case, a hearing panel of the grievance committee approved the findings of a hearing board that the respondent, Richard D. Torpy, had knowingly misappropriated $9,000 belonging to his clients. The panel generally approved the board’s recommendation that Torpy be suspended for three years, but rejected the board’s recommendation to give him ten months credit for the time he was on disability inactive status.
