Ford Motor Company (Ford) appeals from a judgment rendered by the District Court of the Eleventh Judicial District in favor of respondents, the husband and children (Hetheringtons) of the deceased Kathryn Hetherington. We reverse.
In May of 1987 Kathryn Hetherington was severely injured when she was run over by her own automobile, and as a result of these injuries she subsequently died. Hetheringtons retained counsel to represent them against the manufacturer of the car, Ford Motor Company, and against the dealer which sold them the vehicle, Ronan Auto Body Sales (Ronan).
