This is a suit instituted by defendant in error, Teofilo Crixell, Sr., in the district court of Cameron county, Tex., against the city of Brownsville, a municipal corporation, in which defendant in error sues for damages in the sum of $7,500, alleged to be the value of certain houses and outhouses situated on lots 1, 2, and 3 in block 110, of the city of Brownsville, and the further damages in the sum of $4,901, alleged to be the value of certain household goods on or about the 11th day of October, 19Í9, which defendant in error alleges in his said original petition. were destroyed by the…
