Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Schoharie County ^Bartlett III, J.), rendered November 12, 1997, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of rape in the first degree, *768sodomy in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
