Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of St. Lawrence County (Nicandri, J.), rendered August 17, 1998, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of rape in the second degree and incest.
The criminal charges brought against defendant stemmed from alleged sexual abuse of his oldest daughter beginning in November 1995 when the child was 13 years of age. Defendant was indicted for one count of rape in the second degree, five counts of rape in the third degree and six counts of incest.
