This is an action for damages for an alleged unlawful arrest and malicious prosecution of the plaintiff. He alleged in his petition that the defendant, the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, was organized under the laws of New Jersey, and doing business in Louisiana. The citation and a copy of the petition were served upon the secretary of state and also upon the general superintendent employed by the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, at its .principal business establishment in Louisiana.
