Uber Technologies, Inc. moves to dismiss Plaintiffs’ Amended Complaint, which asserts an attempted monopolization claim in violation of federal antitrust law and state law claims of unfair competition and tortious interference with present and prospective contractual relations. Since Uber entered the Philadelphia taxicab market in 2014, Plaintiffs—the Philadelphia Taxi Association, Inc. along with about 80 transportation and taxi companies—have experienced significant decreases in demand for their services and, in turn, their investments and earnings.…
