Appellant Joe Michael Copeland appeals from a conviction of first-degree murder and his sentence of life imprisonment. He raises five points for reversal.

Copeland first contends that the verdict was unsupported by substantial evidence as to the element of intent. His argument is meridess. A person commits first-degree murder if “[w]ith a purpose of causing the death of another person, he causes the death of another person.” Ark. Code Ann. § 5-10-102(a)(2) (Repl. 1997).
