This action was brought by a seller against a buyer to recover damages for a breach of contract to sell certain egg products. The original contract was made by the Belgian Trading Company, the seller, and the defendant, a New York corporation, as buyer. The plaintiff Laurent Van der Stegen was doing business at Shanghai, China, under the name of Belgian Trading Company. The contract in question is claimed to have been made on January 30, 1920.
