The condemner and the condemnee have each appealed from a judgment in condemnation after a trial before the court without a jury.

The action was commenced by the State of California on behalf of the Department of Water Resources to acquire a right of way for the California Aqueduct and on behalf of the Department of Public Works to acquire a right of way for the construction of the Interstate 5 freeway.
