Under the general laws of the State it is provided that county treasurers shall receive as compensation for their services a salary, and a fee of $1.00 for each tax execution issued against delinquent taxpayers of their respective counties, when such tax execution is collected.

Respondent is the duly elected, qualified and commissioned treasurer of Sumter County, and has been the treasurer of said county continuously since the first day of July, 1931, and for many years prior thereto, and has regularly discharged his duties as such…
