OPINION

STANLEY S. HARRIS, District Judge.

Before the Court are defendants’ motion for summary judgment pursuant to Fed. R.Civ.P. 56 and related pleadings. 1 Upon careful consideration, summary judgment is granted in favor of defendants on plaintiffs claim pursuant to § 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. § 185, and plaintiffs pendent' state law claims for defamation are dismissed without prejudice. “Findings of fact and conclusions of law are unnecessary on decisions of motions under ■ Rule 12 or 56.” Fed.R.Civ.P. 52(a); Summers v.
