The plaintiffs, Péndola Demiraj, individually and doing business as Eagle Agency, and Halim Demiraj, appeal from the judgment of the trial court, following a jury trial, in favor of the defendants, Tom Uljaj, Eli Gjezo and Adriatic Eagle Air Corporation (Adriatic). On appeal, the plaintiffs claim that the court improperly directed a verdict in favor of the defendants on two counts alleging violations of the Connecticut *802Uniform Securities Act (CUSA), General Statutes § 36b-2 et seq., and specifically General Statutes § 36b-4 (a) and (b).
