RUSSEL, Judge.

Plaintiff, Melody Clayton, appeals from the trial court’s order awarding costs to defen dant, Matthew Snow. We affirm in part, reverse in part, and remand with directions.

I. Background

Plaintiff sued defendant for injuries that she allegedly sustained in a car accident. Plaintiff rejected an offer of settlement, and the matter went to trial. The case was tried twice:
