The plaintiff seeks to recover the reasonable value of services performed in constructing a county road for the defendant county. From the allegations of the complaint, it appears that on February 13, 1917, the plaintiff entered into a written contract with the defendant county whereby he undertook, for certain prices or rates stipulated in the contract, to clear, grub, grade and drain approx imately four miles of road.
