MEMORANDUM

CONNER, District Judge.

Presently before the court are cross-motions for summary judgment (Docs. 19, 22) with respect to the claim of plaintiff, Michael S. Lane (“Lane”), to recover disability benefits allegedly owed to him by defendant, UNUM Life Insurance Company of America (“UNUM”), under an employee benefit plan subject to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001-1401.
