The defendant, G. D. Searle & Company (Searle), appeals from the entry of judgment in the Circuit Court of Cook County on a jury verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of *100,000. The plaintiffs amended complaint, filed on behalf of the husband and son of the deceased, alleged a cause of action for wrongful death and premised liability on Searle’s manufacture and distribution of the oral contraceptive Enovid 1 without adequate warning of possible adverse effects.
