This is an appeal by the plaintiff from a judgment on the pleadings in favor of the defendant.

The plaintiff brought an action at law to recover from the defendant the sum of $15,330.20, alleged to be the 'balance due him on a contract in writing under which plaintiff agreed with the defendant to build an access logging road approximately 6.40 miles in length for an agreed consideration of $123,700.
