A general court-martial convened at Orleans, France, tried the accused, Zagar, under two specifications alleging violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Article 91, 50 USC § 685, the exact nature of which are unimportant here. Despite his plea of not guilty, he was found guilty as charged, and sentenced to receive a bad-conduct dicharge, to be confined at hard labor for one year, and to total forfeitures.
