OPINION

LESLIE, Judge.

Respondent claimed that appellant improperly drew $16,344 on the letter of credit provided for by contract between the parties. Appellant failed to file an answer to respondent’s summons and complaint and did not appear at trial. Respondent’s motion for a default judgment was granted. On March 11, 1986 appellant’s subsequent motion to vacate the default judgment was denied. Because we believe the trial court was correct in finding that ap pellant did not have a reasonable defense on the merits, we affirm.
