One month prior to giving birth, Delisa Atchley took maternity leave from her job at The Nordam Group and received assurances from Nordam managers she could return to the position at the completion of her leave. When she tried to return as promised, she learned there was no place for her. After several fruitless attempts to find another position at Nordam or elsewhere in Oklahoma, Ms. Atchley filed suit against Nordam alleging violations of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e, and the Family…
