This case is before us on a recommendation from the Commission on Judicial Fitness and Disability. The commission filed a formal complaint alleging that respondent, now a circuit court judge, had violated the Oregon Code of Judicial Conduct (Code) in connection with a 2014 voters’ pamphlet statement supporting his judicial candidacy.
