This was an action by the board of county commissioners of Graham county, in which they seek to recover upon the official bond executed by B. Van Slyck, as county clerk, and Jerome Shoup and William Wells, as sureties thereon. In the petition, it is alleged that Van Slyck was duly elected county clerk in November, 1885, and that he duly qualified and entered upon the duties of the office on January 11, 1886.
