This action was brought to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff by reason of the claimed negligence of the defendant in operating his automobile. The case is here upon writ of error sued out by the defendant to review a judgment of $1,000 against him. The plaintiff by her declaration and evidence claimed that she was riding in a light spring wagon drawn by two horses, and driven by her husband, Julius Ott, now deceased, on Beech Tree road about 6 miles south of Grand Haven, at about 8 o’clock in the evening of November 15, 1919, going in a southerly direction…
