Proceedings were taken by the board of supervisors of Los Angeles County for the improvement of certain streets lying outside of incorporated cities and towns. A contract was made with respondent Gentry for the doing of the work, which work was to include the construction of cement sidewalks, curbs, and gutters and the grading and graveling of the streets mentioned in the contract.
