MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

CASTILLO, District Judge.

Petitioner Jaime Maciel was convicted of first degree murder and burglary and sen tenced to 60 years’ imprisonment. Maeiel unsuccessfully sought both direct and collateral review of his conviction and sentence. Now he petitions this Court for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254. For the reasons set forth below, we deny Maciel’s petition.
