SULLIVAN, Judge:
On December 30, 1992, Airman Jimmy B. Smith was tried by a general court-martial composed of a military judge sitting alone at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He pleaded guilty to assault and battery of JC, the wife of another servicemember, in violation of Article 128, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 928. He was found guilty of this offense by exceptions and substitutions, and sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement and forfeiture of $500 pay per month for 4 months, and reduction to the lowest enlisted pay grade.
