Facts and Proceedings Below
The trial of this contested dissolution action was set before a commissioner of the Los Angeles Superior Court (South District). Prior to commencement of the trial, the parties were requested to stipulate that the matter could be heard and determined by the commissioner sitting as a temporary judge. (Code Civ. Proc., § 259, Cal. Rules of Court, rule 244.) Appellant refused to so stipulate.
