In this original proceeding under C.A.R. 21, the petitioner, Albertson’s, Inc., seeks a writ prohibiting the trial court from enforcing an order compelling discovery of certain employee files, as well as five years of state and federal tax returns. Petitioner argues that the trial court erred in compelling production of its personnel records without first balancing the interests favoring discovery against the privacy interests of its employees.
