The defendant, Alcov Ortiz, appeals from the judgment of conviction, following a trial by jury, of tampering with a wdtness in violation of General Statutes § 53a-151 (a), criminal trespass in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-107 (a) (1) and carrying a pistol without a permit in violation of General Statutes § 29-35 (a).
