Defendant-appellant, Thomas A. Swift, appeals his conviction for rape, a violation of R.C. 2907.02(A)(2).
A bill of information was filed against appellant charging him with rape. On December 27, 1991, appellant entered a plea of guilty to the charge pursuant to a plea agreement. The trial court found appellant guilty and ordered a presentence investigation. On February 6, 1992, the trial court sentenced appellant to an indefinite term of incarceration for a period of no less than eight years and no more than twenty-five years and ordered appellant to pay the costs of…
