LEWIS, Judge.

Defendant was convicted of discharging a firearm into occupied property and was sentenced to ten years imprisonment. The State’s evidence tended to show that on the evening of 28 December 1991, defendant’s wife, Clara Jackson, and her friend, Kim Morris, left the home of another friend to go to Jackson’s apartment so that Jackson could change clothes. While they were in Jackson’s apartment, defendant telephoned Jackson twice, both times threatening to kill her.
