This is a products liability action in which the plaintiffs and certain defendants appeal from a summary judgment dismissing two defendants from the action: the successor corporation to the original manufacturer of the allegedly defective product and the product's distributor.

The questions presented for review are: (1) whether the successor corporation assumed its predecessor's strict-liability obligations for manufacturing an allegedly defective product; and (2) whether a distributor with only a minimal connection to the product may be subject to suit on strict-liability principles.
