The defendant appeals from his conviction by a six-person jury in the District Court of neglecting to support an illegitimate child (G. L. c. 273, § 15). On appeal, the defendant argues that the judge erred in denying his motion for a required finding of not guilty, contending that the evidence was insufficient to establish certain elements of the crime.
