This action for a “writ of mandate, injunction and declaratory relief” involves certain of the seniority rights of over 175 specified employees of the city and county of San Francisco who were formerly employees of the Market Street Railway Company, and who were “blanketed-in” to employment with the city by virtue of section 125 of the city charter when the private company was acquired by the city on September 29, 1944.
