The defendant, Angelo Fabricatore, appeals, following our grant of certification, 1 from the judgment of the Appellate Court affirming the trial court’s judgment of conviction, 2 rendered after a jury trial, of assault in the third degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-61 (a) 3 and breach of the peace in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 2001) § 53a-181 (a) (l). 4 State v.
